About
I'm a tattoo artist hailing from Istanbul, with years of various experiences from tattooing to illustrative merch design, from working in tech to local politics and so on. My inspirations include everything social, historical and contextual with the times we live in but also concepts like life, death, love, passion, consumption, memory, collective memory and more. I've studied sociology and philosophy and take inspiration from everything with that two perspectives and include it in my work, or at least for its own explanation, if the need arises. I always try to incorporate a contradicting stance towards the recent trends and sometimes a critical attitude to that contradictive stance, because art is all about swallowing one's own words and make something out of that to move forward and become a better artist than I was.
