About
I'm a digital artist based in Cape Town, South Africa that started out in 2D animation, moving into storyboarding for 3D films. My artwork is inspired by comics and film and may include anything from cartoons to realistic figures, humor, surrealism and horror themes too. My hobbies include, folk lore, epic history, my own art. To stay in touch with my childhood, I indulge in retro music, combat sport highlights, skateboarding, electric guitar and some light gaming or a few cartoons on the weekend. Animation projects I've worked on include: Caillou, Mr. Baby, Florrie's Dragons, Team Jay, Jungle Beat. The associated brands include: Disney, Nickelodeon, Aardman, Xilam, Cookie Jar.

I love a job that utilizes storytelling. Something with purpose and room for creativity. Anything with a strong theme like "cute and spooky", "romantic comedy" or "sexy-retro", etc.

Qualifications/Positions:

I have an advanced diploma in animation for TV and film since 2003. I've held the positions of Lead animator,   Animation Director,   Storyboard Artist and Creative Lead.

Awards/Grants:

During my studies,   our claymation team won best animation in 2002 for a dysopian action-comedy piece.

Exhibitions:

I only do digital art,   animation and video editing.

Worked with the following major brands:

International: Disney,   Nickelodeon. In South Africa: Jungle Beat (on Youtube),   Media24 (newspapers) and broadcasters like eTV and SABC.
