This painting is inspired by a memorable encounter during my visit to Kalgha village near Kasol, Himachal Pradesh. While attending a local wedding-sharing their traditional food, music, and dance-I met this remarkable woman whose radiant personality immediately captivated me. Her heartfelt warmth, graceful demeanour, vibrant traditional attire, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression.
We spoke about life, art, and my work, and with her permission, I captured a few photographs that later became the foundation for this piece. Created in my studio, this artwork reflects not just her joyful spirit, but also the serene beauty and heartfelt simplicity of Himalayan culture.
