Whispers of the Unknown by The Automatist Eye in San Diego
Whispers of the Unknown
In “Whispers of the Unknown,” abstract forms rise and dissolve into each other, echoing the tension between memory and discovery. The composition feels suspended — as if the viewer is standing at the edge of a world still forming, where emotion takes shape before language can name it. Layers of shadow, light, and fragmented motion pull the eye inward, suggesting a place both infinite and intimate. The piece invites contemplation of what lies beyond understanding — that mysterious realm where feeling becomes form and the unseen speaks through silence.
Meet the Artist
San Diego, United StatesAbout Me
I am a charcoal artist and emerging Automatism Expressionist currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts. My work explores the intuitive and subconscious side of creativity — allowing emotion, instinct, and movement to guide form and composition. This approach gives my charcoal illustrations a raw, expressive energy that resonates deeply with narrative art.
With a foundation in fine art studies, I’ve developed strong technical skills in anatomy, value, and perspective, while maintaining a spontaneous and emotional connection to the creative process. I specialize in charcoal drawings for books, bringing stories to life through atmosphere, gesture, and tone.
Every project I take on is approached with professionalism, focus, and respect for the client’s vision. My goal is to translate ideas and emotions into visual experiences that enhance the storytelling process — whether for a novel, poetry collection, or conceptual publication.
