Where Hamilton Industry Meets Nature 2023
Acrylic paint and paint medium on canvas. 15 inches x 30 inches. Currently on display at the Fringe Festival (located at the Relay Coffee on King William). Inspired by the miner and metal workers who do the hard jobs, as I grew up surrounded by them and admire their skills and determination. This specifically was inspired by a Hamilton location where I found old photographers of workers and juxtaposed it with a waterfall from the area (as Hamilton is the waterfall capitol of Canada).
Availability: Available
Medium: acrylic paint
Collection: landscape, nature, impressionism, people, pop
Price: $1,020
Meet the Artist
Hamilton, CanadaHello! I am an artist based out of Waterdown, ON. I have been creating for as long as I can remember and have played around with a large variety of mediums. At a young age I was inspired by nature and what it provides. I would sculpt from the clay in the earth that I would find while camping, and use found items for collage. As time passed I picked up an interest in painting, which led me to acquire a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree from the University of Ottawa in 2021. At the moment, I primarily focus on painting, drawing, digital art and mixed media as mediums. I enjoy playing around with the size of my pieces and the subjects/themes. In terms of style, I tend to vary from abstract to representational work. I am very inspired by the artists from the 19th and 20th century, such as Pissarro, Monet, Morrisot, Turner, Matisse, Renoir, Mondrian, and many more.
