A body horror-esqe Wendigo concept for a joint project. I wanted something grotesque for this design, so I took inspiration from body horror movies and surgeries I viewed to create the fleshy protrusions.
Hello,
My name is Ducati, and I’ve been developing my animation skills for the past five years including studying animation as a university student at LaSalle Barcelona. Currently, I am looking for an entry-level position or an internship to gain experience by working alongside industry professionals in a production-orientated environment. I would be humbled to work for FitXR where I could assist and learn from your team. My skill set includes illustration, scriptwriting sculpting, and making 2D and 3D animations using software such as Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Autodesk Maya among others. I've also worked on Unity making small games.
Over the last four years, I have individually practiced animation and illustration, growing my skills with each new technique I learned. Professionally, I have worked at media companies as an animator, sketch artist, and photographer. I had an internship in New York City with The Animation Project (TAP), a nonprofit that teaches animation to teens at risk presenting an opportunity for a career in the industry. While assisting TAP instructors, I learned the basics of 3D animation using software such as 3DS Max, and Autodesk Maya. I continue to improve my skills working with these systems. Beyond gaining new animation skills during the internship, I traveled across all the boroughs of New York City and received a new perspective on life, especially when speaking with those I met and hearing about their hardships.
As the Motion Graphics Designer at The Human Aspect, a web platform that features people sharing their seemingly insurmountable challenges and how they persevered. In this capacity, it was my responsibility to make animated bumpers and intros, including one for an interview with Norway’s then-Prime Minister Erna Solberg. Additionally, I assisted with general productions.
Upon completing my high school studies as a graduate of the International Baccalaureate program, I began my path in university at LaSalle Barcelona. During my 1st year at LaSalle, I developed my traditional art skills such as painting and working in perspective while dramatically improving my skills in animation, modeling, and illustration. I have also learned the fundamental ethos of teamwork, where I have broadened my ability to listen and consider new insights in addition to my own. I would like to continue developing these skills.
Attached is my CV and my portfolio. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Ducati
