Weep Alone by Daniel Ibrahim - Mural Artist in Sydney

Weep Alone

Weep Alone is the first in my series of charcoal portraits. It is particularly personal due to the challenging emotions I was experiencing in my life at the time, which I funneled into this piece. The name of the piece is inspired by the poem, ‘Solitude’ by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, which captures the isolating nature of negative emotions. By staring into the subject’s eyes, the viewer is confronted with the quiet reality of mental health challenges and suffering in silence.
