When choosing subjects to paint, I usually try to search for visual elements that I can translate as having both abstract and figurative language, while balancing these 2 elements and treating them with equal respect and significance. I hope that this painting encompasses these elements with parity. A very satisfying paint to work on, this painting was a more technical challenge than I had anticipated. I decided to work directly onto a white primed canvas (I usually use a black primer). PS: The frame(s) in the mock-up images are not included.
