We Belong Tae Glaschu by Erin Bradley-Scott in Glasgow
We Belong Tae Glaschu
This piece was designed and painted in 2024 for Yardworks
Park XR Street Art Exhibition. I wanted to create a piece that gave a nod to Glasgow’s Gaelic history, while bringing using colour, shape and composition to give the mural a contemporary and playful feel. The words are inspired by the song "I Belong to Glasgow" by Will Fyffe.
I worked initially with paper collage to create the shapes and layout for the design - allowing for a more abstract approach to this piece.
Meet the Artist
Glasgow, United KingdomI’m a passionate and experienced signwriter, mural artist and graphic designer with eight years working in the creative industry. As well as running my own creative business, I co-founded and work with Cobolt - a mural collective made up of Kat Loudon, Chelsea Frew and myself.
Throughout my career, I’ve led and collaborated on a range of community based projects, as well as delivering a wide variety of private commissions. My work ranges from shopfront signage, logo, typeface and poster design, to large scale mural paintings and workshop facilitation. With each project I work on, I seek to achieve the best results possible, paying close attention to detail, and creating meaningful, bespoke artworks made to last a lifetime.
I’m always keen to work with new people, brands and/or themes, embracing each project as a new opportunity to learn and grow as an artist/designer.
