Waterfall of Dreams by Emma in Sydney

I am an Australian artist based in Sydney where I work full time out of my home studio in Paddington. I have created art ever since I was a child, starting out with a love for fashion illustration. I studied Fashion Design and Fashion Illustration after graduating high school, then she later studied drawing at the Julian Ashton Art School in the Rocks and also studied painting at the Waverley Art School. I then developed my skills further and explored multiple mediums, expanding my art practice to painting various figurative works. My main medium is watercolour but I also love to paint in acrylic and oil. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects from people to cats and also mermaids. My art process is a form of meditation, each piece I create is a part of a journey to discover more about myself and the world around me. My inspiration is drawn predominately from nature as well as the female figure and largely her dreams.
