Waiting for the youth club to open
A preview work in progress from one of my projects “We Grew Up In.” This project showcases different eras of British Bangladeshi young males growing up in a east London council estate.
In this image it focuses on youth culture. 3 Bengali teenagers are seen waiting around for the youth club to open, whilst young children can also be seen playing football inside a public sports cage.

I'm a multidisciplinary artist specializing in portraiture. I mainly use coloured pencils to express the emotions of my subject matters.
My work explores self identity, gender & youth culture. I Intend to bring out people's inner child through my viewpoint of capturing nostalgia in a vitalising way.
My art showcases my personal journey of growing up in an East London council estate. My art projects signify joy, togetherness, wholeness and a journey of understanding oneself.
I also find it captivating to draw matters of Social commentary. The moments that are happening right now.
So whether it’s precious family memories you’d like me to draw from your family album or anything nostalgia/identity & culture based, I’d be honoured to draw it!
