Waihi East School Library Building
Digital illustration wrapping seamlessly the library building, creating a 360 whimsical landscape featuring local attractions, such as Waihi's Pumphouse, the bridge on Karangahake Gorge, Owharoa Falls, Tuhua Island, Gilmour Lake Reserve and so on. Several kids are depicted reading books, as well as a kiwi riding a bicycle and few other native birds. The illustration was then printed on vinyl and applied directly on the cladding by the client's printer.
Meet the Artist
Auckland, New ZealandI started as a cartoonist and illustrator, moved progressively into a more fine art area where I learned to paint canvases as well as watercolours end then finally murals. I use mainly acrylics, but also oils and occasionally gold leaves and mix media which I am always happy to experiment with, art has no boundaries nor limitations. I still do cartoons and illustrations, with both traditional and digital media, I am currently working on 2 NFT project, I guess is the last fronteer atm. Happy to inspire and be inspired by other's ideas and mix them up when it leads to exciting projects.
