VR Swim Week Body Art
Model painted at a swim fashion walk by Sam Glam on the Glo, during Miami’s swim week. I enjoyed the fast paced energy and the on the spot painting was a welcomed challenge. Thanks to Sam Glam for the invite!
Meet the Artist
Los Angeles, United StatesMy birth name is Spartacous, I’m a visual artist who enjoys a variety of media, including painting, printmaking and sculpture. I started making art at a young age as a form of therapy. My Father died when I was still a child and I grew up in a high stress environment from there on. art was my escape. I started doing street art in 2005 while I was studying printmaking and in 2009 left LA where I lived to El Salvador and then Nicaragua. There I spent ten years teaching art and learning about my roots and identity to better understand myself. In 2020 I came back and decided I needed to see more of the USA, so I saved to buy a Van and traveled from the San Francisco Bay Area to Miami this was such a learning experience and help my work develop further. A few months back I complete several murals at a call center and this felt like I big accomplishment because I have always wanted to do mural work. I’m currently living in Miami, doing some side work to survive. My dream is still to become a full sustainable artist who can work on large projects with institutions and diverse people towards a common vision. I hope to one day fund an education and self development program in Central America for youth because I know what it’s like growing up with little or no mentors and having to figure things out on your own. If you have a project and like my work feel free to reach out I will be happy to coordinate a meeting and go over ideas and any questions.
