I'm an Italian painter and illustrator who brings joie de vivre and aesthetic beauty into your homes, specialised in luxury hyperrealistic paintings: commissioned luxury portraits from photographs and still lifes with flowers in a hyperrealistic and vintage/antique style , finished with great precision in every detail. I have my own technique ‘Kate Makaro's Vintage Fusion’ which creates ‘oil effect’ with modern, more resistant materials, namely acrylic and acrylic lacquer. The advantage of acrylic is that it does not crack or darken over time, unlike oil. This technique has been awarded prizes in many painting competitions in Italy. Completely self-taught, with my own style inspired by the oil painting of past centuries. I'm also a musician and composer with an album released by a Swiss record label in 2018 as Kate Makarova.
