Vintage persian vase by Sherry in Melbourne

Vintage persian vase

My creation the enchanting imagery of ancient Iranian ceramic jars from the Qajar dynasty. These jars, adorned with hand-painted flowers on a warm, sandy base, were crafted with love for storing or serving wine. As I reflect on these aged vessels, each stroke of paint whispers untold stories. They are not mere objects; they are bridges to our past, crafted by hands weathered by time. The realization that someone, perhaps a century or two ago, molded and painted these jars from the earth fills me with inexplicable emotions. Tears well up as I sense a poignant connection to our history and the lives of our ancestors. It's a silent tribute to the resilience of life, echoing the poet's truth that while life is splendid, it occasionally demands the solace found in a glass of wine.
