This was a commission request which was amazing to create. The client provided an image of his vintage car that I developed into a stencil which was a task in itself. Once the client was happy with the stencil I set about filling the sections with my signature style. This was one of the most unusual challenging pieces I have worked on so far and I'm really happy with the end result as was my client.
Graphic Designer and illustrator based in Surrey. I work with Uniball Fineliners and good old fashioned pencils! Graphic Design is my bread and butter but I love to doodle. In all honesty I love all things art and like to explore my creativity trying new things all the time.
I can’t remember the beginning of this illustration style, it kind of just happened experimenting with different ideas. Through this I landed on illustrating these stencils. I have developed my style over the years using a range of patterns and infills but now I tend to stick to a select handful that feature in a majority of my work, although each one is unique they have the same look and feel overall. A signature doodle I always like to add to at least one segment is mini skulls, just because they are so cool and I love them!
Mostly using animals I occasionally create a few iconic faces and have just started with flowers and filling different words as another option to explore. People ask me quite a lot for bespoke commissions, which I love due to the unique aspect of these illustrations, each one is a challenge!
