Vibrant, art deco hall, stairs and landing by ArtbyLauraRose in Southampton

I was asked to design something to add a bit of vibrancy to the existing grey walls in this house. In keeping with the bee art work I had already created for the owners, I chose yellow as a feature colour. I first painted the risers of all the stairs. I designed the flowing flower design to contrast with the solid straight black dividing line. After drawing the design I used white emulsion as a base, I then added the yellow and finished with a sign writers brush and some black paint to give a crisp finish. I used the design in different areas of the walls to tie the pieces together.
