Meet the Artist
Washington, United StatesAnna embodies all the intense creativity of her generation. Through this artistic wonder woman flow the multitude of cultural and ethnic influences that characterize not only her vast homeland, but also her own DNA.
From Armenia, to the Middle East, to Central Asia, Anna draws on her own diverse ancestry to bring a startlingly imaginative vision of the human form in action and in intimacy.
As a young adult, Anna – entirely on her own, without sustainable support from family or third parties – bravely moved to America and tested its historical claims as a garden of freedom and artistic exploration. Her many admirers in Washington D.C., her new home, consider her move to have been a happy serendipity, a signpost of great artistic contribution.
Her murals, illustrations, portraits and other works can be found in the collections of the many patrons who value her extraordinary talent. When an individual unfamiliar with her work is introduced to it, the reaction is like an epiphany. Hers is an arresting vision – deeply erotic but never pornographic – of humanity in intimate action, and the impression is indelible.
