Meet the Artist
Newcastle, AustraliaI am a visual/street-artist based in the Hunter area of NSW, originally from Mexico. My practice travels through painting, public art, mural work and printmaking. I draw inspiration from my heritage, nature, street-art and pop surrealism. I have been involved in group exhibitions, live-painting events, street-art festivals, mural and public art projects in Australia, Mexico, USA, United Kingdom and Europe since 2012.
I have participated in street-art festivals around Europe, UK, Australia and Mexico. I have painted over 30 murals from 25 meters long to 8 meters tall. Some street-art festivals include FEMINEM, Ciudad Mural Monterrey, Tu estilo es el mensaje, Meeting of Styles: Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Kosovo, Spain, Street-Art Grammart Italy, Urban Giants Italy, UPFEST Bristol UK, Beeston Street-art Festival Nottingham UK, Blackburn Open Walls UK, Torrefarrera Printing walls Cataluna Spain, ArtNotApart Australia and Big Picture Fest Newcastle Australia. I have also painted private murals for institutions, councils, live-painting events and commercial use such as Lane Cove Council, Hurley Australian Open of Surfing, Warringah Council, Bondi Street-Art Wall, Royal Prince Hospital and Vinnies. I have been sponsored by aerosol brands such as MOLOTOW & Rodin (paint sponsors 2017) and NBQ (paint sponsor 2017, 2018).
My mural work got recognition as being part of the “Mural Art Development: Mexico, Japan, Australia" talk at the Saitama Museum of Modern Art in Japan (2017). I won the Hung Up Art Prize at the Street-Art Festival exhibition at Surface Gallery in Nottingham UK (2017) and was finalist at the Northern Beaches Art Prize (2020). Recently received the 'LakeMac Artist and Creator Award' by the Lake Macquarie Council and most recently painted at the Big Picture Festival in Newcastle (2022).
