I am a multifaceted artist that was raised in Alameda, California. Being quite driven, when I was 14 I mentioned to my art teacher that I wanted to teach art.
So, she introduced me to a wealthy woman that let me use her garage to do just that. I made my lesson plans and my first students were in 3rd and 4th grade, paying two dollars each.
That same teacher would allow me to teach art to the seniors at Encinal High School. Mrs. Marion Nicosia was one of the main influencers of my career. The first art commission that I did was of an African Queen for the N.A.A.C.P. in Alameda .After graduating I attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles with a major in Design.I moved to Honolulu in the 80's and opened one of the first mural companies there. My team and I produced over 200 murals in hotels, private homes, restaurants, and a cruise ship.
My work has been viewed and published in the Alameda Times Star, the Honolulu Advertiser, Mahogany News, the evening news on Channel2 in Honolulu with Joe Moore and recently Channel 12 evening Action News in Chico, California.
