Leighton Clarke inspired me with his courage and bravery when it came to living with Tourette’s. so I decided to draw him and post him this portrait as a thanks for educating people about one of the many hidden battles that humans live with day to day.
Meet the Artist
Christchurch, New ZealandHi! My name is Vanessa Heaver and I am a Christchurch born and raised artist. I am a self taught painter and illustrator. I have worked on projects such as the pop up penguin expo where I was commissioned to paint a penguin sculpture to help raise funds for Cholmondeley Children’s Centre. My penguin sold for $35,000 with the funds going to an amazing cause. I have a small business called treasured arts where I paint pet portraits of beloved animals. Painting is my passion and I absolutely love what I do.
