Tiger I Realism by Ahimsa tattoo in Thane
Tiger I Realism
Like the calm gaze of a tiger with fierce yellow eyes, I carry an unshakable confidence, silent yet undeniable. Underestimated, much like Messi, I don’t need to roar to prove my strength—my actions speak for themselves. This black and white tiger tattoo symbolizes quiet resilience and the power of self-belief.”
Meet the Artist
Thane, IndiaI never imagined that a quiet kid who struggled with words but found ease in sketching would one day build a tattoo studio rooted in compassion. But here we are.
Hi, I’m George D’souza
Founder of Ahimsa Tattoo
Growing up with dyslexia, art became my first language. While reading and writing were often difficult, drawing came instinctively. It helped me make sense of what I couldn’t always express. My earliest inspirations were close to home my father, an artist himself who painted temples and churches and my elder brother’s creativity. Watching them taught me that creativity could be a way of life.
During my early teens at Don Bosco boarding school, I slowly began to trust my voice as an artist. That voice grew stronger when I began working alongside my brother. Over five years, I learned the craft of tattooing and piercing with patience, care and a deep sense of responsibility.
As time passed, I became more mindful of what ingredients was being used and what alternatives and modern methods are coming in the industry in inks, creams, stencils and the impact behind those choices. Around the same time, I was introduced to the idea of veganism by the world through the internet, community spaces and other people’s passion. It resonated deeply with me, not just as a lifestyle, but as a philosophy that felt aligned with the intention I wanted to bring into my work and life.
That’s when the intention of creating a space that is compassionate to humans and other beings emerged to now, where you’re reading this: Ahimsa.
Through connecting with Kings Tattoo Supply, a brand that helped me source ethical, vegan-friendly products grounded in knowledge and integrity, we found clarity. Their guidance, along with the support of many others in my journey, shaped the conscious practices we follow at the studio today. Much of what we use at Ahimsa is rooted in this shared belief in doing better.
Ahimsa Tattoo didn’t happen overnight. It is the result of years of quiet learning, reflection and growth. A space where art meets awareness.
Thank you for being here.
