This is a commissioned piece on the front of the Ti Tree Roadhouse, 200k north of Alice Springs and visible from the Sturt Highway. It was painted with input from local patrons and support of local artists who helped me, for example, paint the background, also bringing in community buy-in

Melbourne, AustraliaI am a Melbourne and Boston-based artist (yes, living part-time in both places!), who works across multiple mediums. My preference is to work on commissioned pieces where the buyer and I have spent time identifying subjects that hold meaning, resulting in pieces that are more than simple an image. For example, I have worked on wedding gifts that represent the journey of the couple to date, birthing paintings that represent the growing family and are taken into the delivery room and murals of significant animals that represent the wildlife and spirit totems of the local people
