Location: Perry Lane, Paddington, Sydney
Client: Perry Lane Mural Project (2019)
“The ibis is a well-known inhabitant of the city of Sydney and you can see them walk naturally among people looking for food.
The geometric elements of strong colour contrast with the black and white of the birds just as the slow movements of the ibis exist in contrast to the multi-coloured and frantic city.
In this project I have taken into account the other murals to be integrated into the whole Perry Lane Project, accentuating the height of the site and playing with movement of the different gazes of the three ibis.”
Ignacio is a Spanish visual designer living in Bendigo VIC, he has worked in both the public and private sectors in Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Australia, custom designing bespoke projects for mural painting, graphic design, textile design and illustration.
He loves natural themes like australian wildlife and often incorporates these subjects into his designs with his own particular style. Ignacio works across numerous mediums and scales, from large public murals, commercial locations, private residences, indoor murals, paintings on canvas or graphite drawings.
He is interested in the alternation of abstract elements with highly stylized figurative ones to create images that are beyond the boundaries of rational thought. The space between the abstract and the figurative grants Ignacio total freedom to consider line, shape and color, and how they interact with one another.
He enjoys finding solutions to new creative challenges.
