This Wall
This mural, a collaboration with the internationally well-known poet Bruce Dawe, is on the back of a multistory car park in Lamkin Lane Caloundra. During the site inspection, I noticed a single weed wedged between the wall and the road—something so beautiful and small that it would catch a young child's attention while walking along the street with their parents.
Meet the Artist
Sippy Downs, AustraliaHi, I'm Mieke, a contemporary artist and place-maker creating site-responsive murals and installations. I am multi-skilled, blending hand painting, aerosol and airbrushing techniques to create realistic, illustrative or abstract murals. I enjoy translating and refining my client's vision into unique concepts and styles to fit their homes, businesses or public spaces.
