This new plant by Steven Hall in Melbourne

This new plant

From the series of 11 paintings shown at Brunswick Street Gallery for the solo exhibition, WILDFLOWERS in November 2023, of flowers sourced in the Inner North of Melbourne. The title of this piece is inspired by a line from Dante's Inferno which, as a story about a descent into hell, represents the darker years of the Covid pandemic. The colorful flowers represent light: life in continuity. Framed and ready to hang.
