Third and Grove: Playful Boston Themed Mural by J Lenore Designs in Boston
Third and Grove: Playful Boston Themed Mural
This mural for Third and Grove (aka TAG) brings big Boston energy into their office space—with a playful twist. Designed to celebrate their local roots and bold creative spirit, the piece is a full-color, comic-inspired tribute to the city, the TAG team, and the weird and wonderful things that make both tick.
Each letter of “TAG” is packed with custom illustrations—from sailboats and seagulls to Boston landmarks like the Zakim Bridge and the Prudential building. You’ll spot Easter eggs like a “Boston Strong” moment, the Red Sox, a friendly lobster, and even a little shrine to TAG’s own ethos: “Leaving the web better than we found it.” I even wrapped the electrical box and built in wall quirks, making the mural feel native to the space (because techies appreciate good UX—even on walls).
With its bold lines, bright colors, and quirky characters, the mural captures TAG’s culture: smart, fun, collaborative, and totally one-of-a-kind. It’s not just a visual—it’s a vibe. Designed to inspire creativity, spark conversation, and remind the team where they are (and why it matters) every time they walk through the door.
