the tender farewell by Tresky in Londres
the tender farewell
"The Tender Farewell" is a mural based on the letter Juan de Padilla wrote to María Pacheco before his execution following the Castilian rebellion of 1521. My aim was not to illustrate a typical historical episode, but to capture the intimate moment behind a date and names. This mural was commissioned by the town council of Mascaraque (Toledo). Meet the Artist
Londres, Reino UnidoI'm Tresky—José María Muñoz León. I was born in 1996 in Quintanar de la Orden (Toledo, Spain). I'm an industrial engineer by training and a self-taught urban artist. I started in graffiti following in my brother's footsteps, and since then, I've continued studying techniques and processes on my own to bring that language to contemporary muralism.
I live in Quintanar and paint large-format figurative murals in a realistic and meticulous style. I'm interested in gazes, gestures, and everyday scenes that tell who we are without the need for grand messages.
I've painted in numerous towns and cities in Spain, especially in Castilla-La Mancha, for city councils, organizations, and private commissions, and sometimes simply because an idea is on my mind and I need to see it on a wall. I enjoy the process as much as the result.
Ultimately, my work is about something simple: that a wall speaks well of the people who live around it.
If your town, your neighborhood, or your space has a story to tell, we can work together to find the right image. I provide the work and experience; the place provides the story.
