The Synchronocity of Nature by Anne Cairns Visual Artist in Toronto
The Synchronocity of Nature
I painted this mural as part of a month long volunteer gig at a family farmstead in rural Portugal, just an hour North of Lisbon. I used leftover paints from other projects my host family had done to create a dynamic, abstract wall in a room they were renovating to house other future volunteers. I didn't go in with a plan, I just followed my intuition and it was one of the most therapeutic art pieces I have ever created. Atypical from my usual precise, planned out works! I had a lot of fun with it.
Meet the Artist
Toronto, CanadaI am a 29 year old Toronto based artist specializing in pop-surrealist portraiture, but I love experimenting with new styles and subjects and mediums any time I feel a surge of inspo. I have a number of large scale works and murals under my belt, but the breadth of my work consists of smaller spur of the moment mixed media pieces, mainly the aforementioned pop surrealist distorted female portraits. I am self-taught, and have been creating artwork my entire life.
