THE SOUTH BANK - Nominated Short Film by CAMCAT.pt in Lisbon

Hello folks, Even though I'm not a muralist, painter or graffiti artist, I'm a very huge fan of these disciplines and relatively well connected within my network, where - being a professional filmmaker - I have been filming some of the artists during their performance. My name is Christopher Michael and I’m the CEO of CAMCAT-Portugal. As the Chief Operator, I spend my days mostly in helicopters, shooting dangerous stunt scenes while getting ready to jump out with a parashoot. (Just kidding, I actually don’t really, but it would be cool one day). Originally from the Masurian lakes in Poland, I moved with my family to Germany at the age of ten. Shortly after that I started to shoot my first pics on film with my first mirror reflex camera. This was when the lens addiction kicked in. After school I moved to Berlin-Kreuzberg and studied Innovations Management at Humboldt University but was always keen to break into the exciting world of filming, so I got involved in a number of ventures before finalising my plans for CAMCAT. Since then I’ve been shooting all formats from live concerts through commercials, music videos, short films and even one documentary, all of which I very much enjoy shooting, editing and post producing as a whole. When not wearing my camera operator hat (metaphorically speaking) I enjoy live music and harbouring unrealistic expectations for my future as a surfer.
