The Sea Takes the Lighthouse by Ana Swanson in Arlington Heights

The Earth and its creatures have a protective magic that I capture through storytelling, which has always been central to my creative process. Using the whimsical and the sublime, I invite viewers into dreamlike worlds ruled by fantastical creatures, where logic is close by but not quite there. My specialties are animal painting, landscapes, and character design. Mediums I am most proficient in include digital drawing, acrylic painting, and traditional drawing using oil pastel, pen, colored pencils, gouache, and watercolor.
