The Sacred Baobab Trees by Judit Nature Artist in London
The Sacred Baobab Trees
The Sacred Baobab Trees drawing is the third drawing of the Series Seven Forests - Continents. The artwork is inspired by these inspirational trees in Africa.
The mixed-media, contrasting black and white with colour, creates a feeling of hope in the green leaves, depicting the light and black and white vegetation around it and exposing the viewer to a feeling of reverence for the sacred trees. This accentuates the enormous value of these tree for the survival of every species of flora, fauna and certainly the human race.
Born in Barcelona but work and live in London. I started to become interested in art during my childhood. Since May 2017 I am working in a studio in Bow, East London.
My main inspiration is nature. I love plants, trees, flowers... I really enjoyed creating art and not controlling the result, is always a surprise. Inspiration plays an important role in the process of my work because I express what I feel which give me an openness and originality to the art. Since 2016, my art had mixed figurative and abstract elements together, with spiritual or conscious meanings. Colour and form take a journey from representation towards abstraction, an open-ended journey which allows me a sense of freedom and expression. This shift in the creative process is due to her increase in meditation practice in connection with nature and during her work. I use techniques such as oil painting, printmaking, drawing and watercolour. This helps me to have a range of expressive ways to go further in her making process.
