The left side represents life. The Dali clock melts time as is running out, while the red rose blooms representing the flowers of the spirit.
The right side represents the fears and struggles
But ultimately Life ( Light ) Death ( Darkness ) is about balance and the understanding that death is just the end of one dimension.
Interesting fact, is the mouth is the gateway to the next dimension
