The Open Arts Cube by InkHunter in Sydney
The Open Arts Cube
I founded the Open Arts Cube in 2020 to effectively promote emerging artists, engage the community with art, and turn ordinary spaces into vibrant urban galleries.
The Open Arts Cube is a 2.4-meter by 2.4-meter cube made from plywood that acts as a large-scale canvas. The Cube is temporarily erected in public spaces and is painted live by local artists. Following the activation the artworks can be retained and displayed in public spaces.
The Cube has been effectively activated in partnership with University of Sydney, The World Surfing League, Northern Beaches Council, and many more.
Meet the Artist
Sydney, AustraliaMy name is Patrick, a.k.a InkHunter. I’m an environmental mural artist from Sydney. For nearly a decade, I've been creating large-scale murals, installations, and meaningful artworks that centre around the ocean, native plants and reducing plastic waste. I've also ventured into the digital world, crafting unique graphic designs, digital art, and animations. When I’m not painting, I’m spending most of time outdoors surfing, diving and spearfishing. My art encourages people to connect with nature and leave our planet better than when we found it.
