The Machine by Ken Parker in Dublin

This mural was created by primary age children in their school environment. Initial planing and drawing ideas were completed with groups of 30 in the classroom then brought to the boards laid out on the floor of their assembly hall. With smaller groups (6) now working on specific areas of the boards, children could both work individually and in groups. The work was completed by a self portrait painting session where each participant created a portrait of themselves and then collaged the portrait onto the completed mural. The mural was varnished and mounted on the mall to completed the project.
