The Letter
The Letter was painted in my studio in Tucson in 2021. I had started this series of 13 paintings for my muse. I was processing everything I had let fester from 2015. I thought if I painted it out, the feeling for this person would either fade or he would contact me. The Letter is about a letter he wrote me before I moved to Tucson. I couldn't believe that he was real and he was writing me the most romantic things. This is an assortment of everything I was at the time. Everything that meant something. Bits and pieces of us. We were magic.

Meet the Artist
Newkirk, United StatesI am an Oklahoma based artist. I grew up in Oklahoma and just returned after 20 years. Love inspires all my work. I have been passionate about art for my entire life. I've done commissions for a few business but mostly, I've worked with private clients. I graduated suma cum laude with my degree in Fine Arts, in 2011. I have amazing technical skills. My last show was a group show at Studio Noho, in Los Angeles. It was called tiny embers, small paintings with big ideas. Through the years I have been working mainly in surrealism. Which, I fell in love with thanks to Kay Sage, Dali, and Frida. I would love to work on something for you.
