The Girl With the Pixel Earring by BlackDenzel in Adelaide
The Girl With the Pixel Earring
I’ve always been interested in repeated patterns and gridding as a child. I love the way that when you zoom into a digital piece of art you get the very basic pixel.
I designed this piece using Vermeer’s famous work as it is instantly recognizable. This wall is in a small courtyard but nearby is a 5 story apartment block with a roof top garden. I can only imagine how different it would look viewed from up there! This change of view point I find very interesting. I hope it would delight another viewer.
Jack Fran helped me to execute my design.
Meet the Artist
Adelaide, AustraliaI love projecting beauty into the world, particularly the beauty of innocent animals and children. I also love a bit of whimsy and adore classic with a twist.
A moody, dark floral also really inspires me.
I’m learning to recreate my art on a very large scale - all the walls of Adelaide now look like a canvas!
