The Gift of Strawberries by smallkims in Saint Paul

Painted on the side of a lovely citizen's garage near George Floyd Memorial square in Minneapolis. I was commissioned by Beloved Community to design and paint a mural based on the essay "the gift of strawberries" by Robin Wall Kimmerer in 'Braiding Sweetgrass.' Some of the local kids hired by the organization helped paint by filling in the colors as directed by me. Unfortunately, I was not permitted to finish the mural as the organization ran out of funding and did not further communicate with me to find a solution.
