The End of The Moon by Mark Winters in Kildare
The End of The Moon
This project is a silent illustrative book, it is designed to be followed without needing words to follow the story. The narrative follows two co-workers isolated on a secluded base in Antarctica who are faced with the end of the world as they know it. The characters are faced with the moon rapidly descending down to Earth with nothing they can do to stop it.
HOW IT WAS MADE:
This project took a lot of planning because I had to keep the story limited to 14 spreads, I sketched out the story's thumbnails in my sketchbook and illustrated it digitally in procreate. I illustrated it on a larger canvas than I needed to allow for upscaling in the future, I printed it into a small book format as it was intended to be read.
