The end of Innocence by Van Jimmer in London

The end of Innocence

A take on the myth of Persephone who ate the pomegranate seeds offered to her by Hades and remain trapped in the Underworld for half the year. The pomegranate seeds are symbolic of our entry into dark knowledge, what we are offered to consume leads to a dark awakening, becomes a part of us from which we can't escape, and fragments our vision of the world as well as ourselves. But we can retain innocence not as naivete but as a form of hopefulness. The other face integrated with dark insight chooses to use the knowledge as a form of protection through calm and wise knowing. The symbol behind her is of eternal wholeness, strength of will and use of mind to create new reality.
