The Adventure Library 2021 by Clare Walton in Sydney

In 2021 I was one of 150 artists employed by Regional Arts Victoria for the Creative Workers in Schools Program. Over 6 months I worked across all year levels with students in a regional primary school in Victoria. Each year group designed and created their own installations around the school campus. The Adventure Library (pictured here) - Year 2 & 3 The Art & Sport Wall - Year 6 Bush Kitchen & Friendship Sea - Preps and Year 1 A Melbourne Landscape - Years 4 & 5 Measured risky and child-led play were the key art tools years. Each group designed and installed their works scaffolded by me and their teachers. The worked with traditional and non-traditional medium, creating colour and vibrant ephemeral installations across their school campus. Mediums: pallets, recycled timbers, fabric, found objects, bamboo poles and acrylic paints. Various sizes.
