Tarot
My tarot deck explores intersectionality, celebrating the multifaceted essence of life.
We are living beings: not just humans, but also animals and plants. Binary thinking does not exist. We are not simply male or female, but a continuous flow between the two polarities, in a constant transformation. Bodies are hybrid and mutable, ever-evolving. They incorporate organic and technological elements, blending nature and artifice. They adapt to the needs of the moment: they can wear masks, wings, or jewelry to feel stronger, more beautiful and majestic.
In this universe without duality, love goes beyond traditional couples, intertwining freely with all creatures, embracing their diversity, and recognizing their beauty.
The unconscious, death, and the fool represent inexhaustible sources of inspiration, catalysts for metamorphosis and rebirth. Plants and animals are fundamental presences that stimulate and enrich my imagination. Creating new symbioses with the natural world becomes an essential act to promote change.
My tarot embodies queer, environmental and antispeciesist values, which is why they are intersectional. The community they evoke is strong precisely because it embraces this multiplicity. Stories of struggle and rebellion fuel the life force that animates each arcana, transforming every reading into a journey towards awareness and inner evolution.
Meet the Artist
Martina Franca, ItalyArianna Martucci was born among the olive trees of Puglia and moved to the hills of Tuscany. After eight years, she returned to Puglia, but she is still searching for the place where she will settle down. Traveling and discovering new worlds, she allows herself to be influenced by every encounter and every job offer. So, she continues to evolve as an illustrator, representing her desires, her vision of the world, and the emotions that each new journey brings with it through her drawings.
Trees, leaves, plants, insects, metamorphoses and evolutions intertwine, create and build her imagery. She likes to depict unusual monstrosities, cyborg, hybrid and genderless bodies that create new worlds where mutual support, respect for the other and care are the basis. All this to create new symbioses.
Struggling with urban art, she pursues her personal project ‘Branching out’, which explores the concept of branching out as a metaphor for metamorphosis and the interconnection between human and nature. The project aims to highlight the resilience of the natural world, which through its spontaneous expansion recaptures disused surfaces and structures, creating a dialogue between decadence and rebirth.
Her daily life is full of love for nature, animals and everything that is invisible, curious, angry and wants to break the rules. This leads her to become active on a daily basis in the contexts of environmentalism, anti-specism and the LGBTQ+ sphere.
Arianna graduated from art school, worked for 5 years in the world of Computer Graphics, in 2022 she attended the Mimaster and now works as an illustrator, mural artist and teaches 3D Modelling.
