Swimming Elephant by SUBIZM in Melbourne

Swimming Elephant

This was the largest Mural I painted to date. It was 10 meters high across 30 metres. I really enjoyed interacting with the locals of the area. Woodstock was in the process of gentrification. Old properties were being brought out to build new modern buildings to house apartments and shops. There was always a good vibe lingering around this well known suburb of Cape Town. The double storey-building belonged to a family, who then sold to a business lady. She turned this home into a Art Gallery at the time. When I approached her with a proposal to paint the outside, she jumped at the opportunity. She was very delighted with the end result, and so was the community.
