Sustainable groceries pattern by Vicky Hughes in Leeds

I create illustrations inspired by playful people, adventure, food and the outdoors. My style is warm, characterful and adaptable - and I love collaborating with commissioners to create joyful artwork! I’ve worked as a freelance illustrator across editorial, tech and publishing, as well as creating and selling illustrated goods. My previous career was as a data scientist - and I have a Maths degree - so I am very comfortable working with complex information, using logic, and distilling it all to your audience. Throughout my career I’ve with marketing teams, Art Directors, HR, designers and founders to illustrate for loads of purposes - from websites and magazines, to apps to merch! Previous clients include Dot Magazine (Studio Anorak), Popshot Magazine, Wakefield Council, and Covid:Aid. I’ve recently moved to Leeds from London - via a few years living in a campervan. These days, you’ll find me working at home with fiancé Ed and dog Kali, or at Duke Studios with my creative pals.
