Sunset Mural by Bear in Dunedin

I painted a calming mountainous sunset mural for the dementia ward lounge, specifically for the residents to enjoy. Creating this piece was a joy, as it allowed the residents to be part of the process. During the isolation of Covid, when they had little to look forward to and were often confined indoors, this mural brought a spark of excitement. One resident, in particular, made a daily ritual of watching me paint. Despite asking the same questions repeatedly, he always remembered my painting and was there every morning, eager to engage and participate.
