Sunset at City Beach by Enzo in Floreat
Sunset at City Beach
This time round was at Clancy’s City Beach venue, restoring a faded chalkboard which had some pre existing dull typographic designs. Although admirable, this space needed to be uplifted with colour, light and engagement. I explored a variety of minimalist concepts, but the one that stuck the most was this style, something that I curated after doing extensive research. The artwork I developed is simple in its essence, utilising only a handful of colours with very specific focal points. However, despite its minimalist appearance, the artwork uses negative space and vibrancy to engage viewers to look through the chalkboard as if it were a window out into the surrounding scenery. This is one of multiple designs to be installed in this venue.
Meet the Artist
Floreat, AustraliaNice to meet you, my name is Enzo and I am a multi-disciplined designer / artist, bringing a strong contemporary aesthetic with my creative offerings. I have 6+ years of experience and run a freelance business creating designs + merchandise + illustrations + products (etc.) for a large variety of clients, as well as making clothing and selling products for myself. Additionally, I have worked at an Agency and have experience in corporate campaigns and being subcontracted to help on upper-scale projects.
I have recently chosen to dive into the mural scene, as I have decided that transferring my artwork from digital into physical spaces for communities and people, is what I’d like to be doing on a more full time basis. The passion for me lies in being able to generate these creative concepts, then installing the artwork from on screen into physical spaces as a method of communicating, inspiring or helping the public.
