Sugarhouse Pride by Cochitta.Art in Salt Lake City

Sugarhouse Pride

Painted on canvas using acrylic paint, size is 24 feet long by 3.5 feet tall. The name Sugar House pays homage to an actual sugar factory that was build by Brigham Young, in the attempts to bring new industries to the State of Deseret. They used ox and wagon to haul equipment for the sugar factory where they would attempt to produce granular sugar out of sugar beets. Now the sugar beet remains a symbol of Sugar House and its history.
