Meet the Artist
London, United KingdomI am a London-based painter, and observer with a fascination with contrast that pervades my work. I revel in detail and the effects and nuances of light, translucency, reflections and shadows. People have commented on the sensitivity of my artworks and a great sense of depth. I love painting not just for the end result but also the process from initial idea, through working out problems to the final, finished piece.
I specialise in painting with acrylic paint as it has its own qualities I fuse with traditional techniques. I use artist quality pigments in all my works. While I trained in graphic design I taught myself many of the fine art techniques I use.
I have written for and had artwork featured in Artists And Illustrators Magazine, Paint magazine, and I'm a member of the National Oil & Acrylics Painters Society (NOAPS) as well as my local artists Open Studios and I take part in Urban Sketchers events.
My art is owned by private and corporate clients around the globe and I have exhibited in the UK, France and the USA.
