STALL by Namjot in Singapore

The aerodynamic concept of a ‘stall’ is when airflow no longer flows over an aircraft’s wings, and the plane falls out from the sky no matter how much power is applied. This artwork depicts a completed and ‘contact’ aircraft engine gradually disintegrating and de-form through each layer, to expose its bare parts. Through the act of the aircraft losing control by over-exceeding itself, the narrative explains the futility of human control and manifests that chasing perfection is futile and unrealistic. Hence, bringing awareness that we should embrace flexibility, and appreciate the process of our struggles unconditionally. ( Size: 85cm x 120cm )
