Through the use of layering, precise geometry and the suggestion of visual movement, her work is greatly influenced by the depth and perspective needed to live a full and vibrant life. At a young age, she discovered a deep respect and understanding of the power of perception. Kat expresses this understanding by utilizing items and information often designed to be useful or practical rather than attractive (such as hand tools and mathematics) and creating dynamic, abstract artworks with them. Her large format murals are created using utility tools and a bright and light perspective on creation. Her work can be found internationally across the United States, Canada, Australia, Poland, and Colombia. She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
